British Championships & Olympic Trials 2016

A team of inexperienced and Olympic team challengers traveled to Sheffield for this event, which also featured the chance to qualify for the Olympic team.
Tonia couch was first up in the 10m synchro but was suffering from a back problem and then pulled out of the 10m individual event to rest.
Dan Goodfellow and Tom Daley competed in style in, what amounted to an exhibition event in the 10m synchro, but was another chance for them to dive together.

In the individual events, the real Olympic challenge was mounted. For our own divers there was a place available in the womens 10m event for Rio. With Tonia already selected for this it meant the second space was available.

It came down to our Sarah Barrow against Georgia ward from Dive London. Both girls were capable of making the score needed and Georgia had qualified the place itself at the world cup in February.

Sarah stepped up a gear massively and put all injury worries behind her to smash the score and win the event – securing the second place on womens platform!!
